DIRECT THERAPY
Applied behavior analysis (ABA) is a scientific discipline concerned with applying empirical techniques based on learning principles to change social significance behaviors. Over the past 40 years, several thousand published research studies have documented the effectiveness of ABA therapy.
PARENT TRAINING
Parents are integral to the success of each child. Children’s Milestone strives to include parents in all aspects of therapy, from goal and objective development, to treatment strategies and behavior management skills. The consistency of programming across settings is our ultimate aim. The Children’s Milestone Supervisor is available to train parents in behavior management, and the application of discrete trial training to become part of the child’s therapy team. We will use the regular team meetings to share information, raise questions and concerns, and plan intervention strategies. You can expect your child to show progress in the areas of his/her goals over time, and we will monitor the progress with regular data collection. We aim to help your child realize their full potential, find ways to interact with others, participate in school and social opportunities, and thrive in today’s society. We also provide a free 10-hour online introduction to ABA parent video training.
ONE-ON-ONE THERAPY
We provide one-to-one applied behavior analysis (ABA) sessions for children, adolescents, and adults in the natural environment. Board-certified behavior technicians (RBT) work one-to-one with each child under the supervision of Board-Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), using the intensive proven ABA teaching procedures.
